OUR MISSION
ABOUT RCDI
Rooted in community.
Built around dignity.
Resource Conservation Development Initiative International is a women-led Nigerian nonprofit working at the intersection of public health, environmental responsibility and community development.

Our story
RCDI was registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission on 22 March 2013 under CAC/IT/NO 60221. Operations officially began in 2016.
Our work connects environmental sanitation, water access, menstrual dignity and community health. We work with schools, women’s groups, traditional institutions, government agencies and local partners to turn community priorities into practical action.
Our history includes flood-relief support in Benue State, while our documented recent work is rooted in the Federal Capital Territory, including Kwali Area Council. Our mission looks across Nigeria, while our project reporting identifies the communities actually reached.
OUR VISION
A Nigeria where every woman and girl lives with dignity, safe water, and a thriving environment.
What guides our work
Community ownership, women’s participation, disability inclusion, evidence, environmental responsibility and respectful partnership guide programme delivery. We aim to make knowledge and services useful in everyday life and to build the local structures that keep them working.
Governance and accountability
Our Board of Trustees provides organisational oversight. The management team coordinates delivery, partnerships and programme reporting. We publish reported results with their period and source, and distinguish community feedback from independently verified outcomes.
