OUR PROGRAMMES / PROJECT REFRESH

Cleaner communities.
Practical climate action.

Project ReFresh helps communities reduce waste, protect natural resources and turn environmental awareness into everyday action.

RCDI environmental outreach in 2018

Why this work matters

Environmental responsibility connects health, community spaces, household choices and the way development programmes are delivered. ReFresh promotes practical steps that fit local realities.

We work through trusted local relationships—schools, women’s groups, traditional leaders, government institutions and community partners. Participation and sustained follow-up are central to the approach.

OUR APPROACH

Practical work. Local ownership.

Community sanitation

Clean-up activities bring residents, young people and local stakeholders together around healthier environments.

Waste & responsible consumption

Education encourages better waste handling, reuse and environmentally responsible choices.

Climate learning & youth action

Schools and community activities connect environmental knowledge with practical participation.

Greener programme delivery

RCDI considers materials, packaging, procurement, energy use and waste across its programmes. Cleaner cooking approaches are an area of programme interest; project-specific delivery is reported separately.

Activities, results and learning

Our reports identify completed work and reported results. Planned interventions and future ambitions are kept separate from delivered impact.
