Restoring a community space in Apo

Project ReFresh brought community sanitation and practical handwashing together at Apo Resettlement Zone E, Abuja.

During its Earth Day activities in April 2025, RCDI cleaned an illegal dumpsite in Apo Resettlement Zone E and installed a low-cost handwashing tippy tap.

The work included dialogue with FCT RUWASSA on environmental health and sanitation and engagement with AEPB on household waste-bin use and dumpsite restoration.

The 2025 annual report records one dumpsite reclaimed. This is a specific activity result, not a claim that all waste-management needs in the community were resolved.
