Learning that travels beyond the classroom

Students explore handwashing, menstrual health, water safety, sanitation and environmental responsibility. Through peer leadership and WASH Ambassador roles, they are encouraged to share what they learn with siblings, parents, neighbours and classmates.

Connected programmes

School activities link Blue Horizons WASH learning with ThriveFlow menstrual dignity and environmental responsibility through Project ReFresh.

Reported in 2025

The 2025 annual report records five schools with active WASH Clubs and roughly 250 students: JSS Durumi, JSS Durumi (Games Village), JSS Kabusa, GSS Kabusa and GSS Ushafa. These are period-specific reported figures, not a cumulative count.

Environmental clean-ups

Students also take part in school environmental clean-ups, putting hygiene knowledge and care for shared spaces into practice.

Reporting responsibly

The January–June 2026 report documents continued WASH Club activities but does not give a verified cumulative school or participant total. This story therefore describes the work without claiming an organisation-wide count.
