In 2024, RCDI marked World Water Day with Government Secondary School (GSS) Kabusa. RCDI also took children from government schools to the dam in Ushafa to learn about the source of water supplied to Abuja.
Water learning beyond the classroom
The visit gave pupils the opportunity to see water infrastructure for themselves and connect classroom learning with the water used in their city. It belongs in the history of RCDI’s school-based water and environmental education.
Today, Blue Horizons and school WASH Clubs continue to connect water knowledge, hygiene and local stewardship.
